Just wondering, there hasn't been any activity at all the last couple of days. With the nation under some cold temps I figured there would be several people inside doing a hole lot of nothing.

What gives?

Well, for one, there is only 149 of us on this forum out of the 191757 subscribers on YouTube. For two, there really hasn't been much promotion of this site past a link or two in comments that I have seen so just not many people have found it.

I hate the YouTube commenting system so I really wish more would come over here. Without any mention of it in the videos though I doubt many more will ever find this site.

You aint kidding about the cold. Between breaking up the ice in the water buckets, hauling wood for the stove, moving hay to the cows, its been busy.

I agree the site will need real promotion to attract more members. So far I think we have a good foundation though.

I was just thinking about this few days ago. Same thing, there was no promotion from Cody except one link on facebook. Maybe some video promotion would do the thing.

I certainly wouldn't be opposed to the forum getting a little more advertising. It would be nice if there were more members to help keep the conversations going. You guys should message Cody and let him know what you think. If he hears from fans who like the forums, he might promote it more.

I do not think the forum is interesting for Coddy

Tool restoring/sharpening, garden prepping, trellis building, that's where I've been.
and I do believe Cody mentioned a few years ago that he doesn't get too involved with forums anymore because of the drama that tends to take place.

I agree, without more promotion in the videos this forum will almost certainly die. Sad. Really interested in most of the topics, very pleasing asthetics and functionality of the forum, haven't met nicer people on any forum - ever!

Well, since my first reply to this thread almost a month ago, we have added two members... I think I remember the same comment that JC-Dragon recalled in that Cody is not a fan of the drama that can accompany forums so getting him involved and promoting this site may be tough.

So far I think this site is a great start but with sites like http://www.Permes.com, http://www.motherearthnews.com, and http://www.preparedsociety.com already established and with a good bit of the same content it may be hard to start another site that covers more of the same.

Since Dutch is not one of the languages I speak, this is what Babelfish.com gave me:

Good point Ruiter. Since Cody has shown little interest in this forum, it is up to us to promote it.
