Mark as read

Postby Happy Wags » Sun Feb 01, 2015 4:38 am

Just wanted to say loving the forums so far. Very nice work.

Quick feature a bunch of us loved on a phpBB forum I ran was a mark all read button on the View Unread Posts page. On the main page, you have links to show you all the unread posts. When you go there, the mod I am discussing puts a button (or link) on the page to mark all unread posts as read, similar to the one on the index.

I did a good bit of modding in phpBB in the past so if you want a hand with anything, let me know and I will see if I can help.

Do you know of any documentation that exists for this mod?

I am a Mod at a car site and they have a little light bulb that lights up yellow if there are new posts you haven't read and if you have already read them the light bulb is just white. But I can't help with the documentation.

There is already two different images for read/unread forums and topics (look at the squares to the left of the titles). Unread is dark and read is light.

I think this is what we started with and we had VERY custom screens so had to tweak it like crazy...
